Tychy Stadium was opened in July 2015. The arena is one of the most beautiful sports facilities in the Slask region and holds 15,300 fans. Situated in the centre of Tychy, the stadium has excellent transport links with other parts of the city and is home to GKS Tychy, who play in the Polish first division. However, GKS Tychy do not just have a football team, the club is also home to hockey, basketball and eSports teams. In 2017, Tychy Stadium was one of six arenas to host the UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Apart from welcoming young players from the area, the club also hosts the women’s national team. The seats in the stadium are green, red and black, paying homage to the colours of the venue’s home team, GKS Tychy.
